Event Details:

What: Research for the Ranch - Livestock Applied Research Field Day
When: Sept 12, 2024; 8 am registration
Where: We'll meet at the Agriculture Technology Centre; Vermilion campus and travel to one of the LC pastures for the morning
Who: Those interested in learning more about grazing management and our on-going research projects
Why: Learn about forage management and the applied research at Lakeland College that you may consider for your operation

We are excited to collaborate with the Canadian Forage and Grasslands Association (CFGA) and the Agricultural Research and Extension Council of Alberta (ARECA) to showcase their demonstration site at one of Lakeland's SMF pastures. We will spend the morning in the field.

The agenda will include:

• presentation by CFGA and ARECA about RALP, ALUS and AGS course
• cattle supplementation
• forage evaluation on bison pastures
• drone imaging
• GPS tags

Lunch is provided. Please register for the Livestock Applied Research Field Day by Sept 9.
